3 Day Siemens TIA Professional Combo S7-300 to S7-1500 Maintenance & Fault Finding Course
Intended Audience:
This course is for Technicians & Engineers, who are responsible for installing, maintaining & fault-finding industrial automation plant systems which uses Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 & S7-1500 PLCs.
Course Outline:
This course introduces the Siemens S7 TIA Programming Portal. A system overview of the S7-300 & S7-400 (Classic) PLCs, & the S7-1200, S7-1500 PLCs which includes hardware & software components, plus system configuration issues. The course concentrates on the S7-300 & S7-400 (Classic) PLCs & S7-1200 or S7-1500 PLC hardware and troubleshooting. TIA Professional Combo software diagnostic tools & programming instructions are introduced in the course to guide the delegate through the management of a realistic application. The course format is a combination of instruction & hands-on exercises. Demonstration exercises are included & allow delegates to practice tasks such as testing, debugging & using diagnostic tools.

- Programming:TIA Professional Combo Step 7 (Version 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15) / Step 7 Classic 5.5
- PLC Hardware: SIMATIC S7-300 & S7-400 (Classic) PLCs or S7-1200 or S7-1500 PLCs.
Brief Description:
- Identify components & performance characteristics of the Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 & S7-1500 PLCs
- Operate the Siemens TIA Professional Combo software to make it perform certain tasks.
- Perform system diagnostics when a problem occurs.
- Debug hardware problems.
- Document, test, & troubleshoot an application program.
- Replace Siemens S7 PLC hardware & modules when a fault occurs.
- Understand basic instruction set & be able to make minor modifications to software.
- Backup & restore a PLC program when required.
- Utilise binary operations, timers, counters, comparators, & arithmetic operations for modifications
Course Objectives:
The course consists of instructor-led tuition & discussions which focuses heavily on examples from the delegates own applications, backed up by practical hands-on sessions. Demonstration exercises are included & allow delegates to practice tasks such as testing, debugging & fault finding using diagnostic tools. Programming theory is kept to a minimum, the course is hands on with great emphasis on the practical aspects of Programmable Logic Controller applications. The course is based around S7-300, S7-400, or S7-1200 S7-1500 PLCs. The course is run using TIA Professional Combo (Version 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15, Programming Software) / Step 7 Classic 5.5
